Team USA has outshot its opponents in the first two games, and has only been penalized three times in the tournament. The United States penalty kill is a perfect three-for-three thus far. Additionally, 12 of 13 forwards have been credited with at least one point. Scoring from all four lines is an important aspect of overall team success. John Farinacci (Red Bank, N.J.) started the U.S. push in the third period of its game against Russia with a goal, and scored again his second of the tournament against Austria.
