The My Why Tour, presented by Toyota hits great St. Louis, Missouri, for the first of two games as the U.S. Women’s National Team faces off against Canada on Wednesday at the Centene Community Ice Center. The meeting, the fifth of the Tour, is set for 8 p.m. ET and will be broadcast live on NHL Network. The teams will also meet at Centene on Friday (Dec. 17) at 7 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT

Team USA and Team Canada last met on November 23 at TD Place Arena in Ottawa, Ontario, with the U.S. skating to a 2-0 victory. Hilary Knight (Sun Valley, Idaho) tallied the game-winning goal for the second consecutive game midway through the second, before Amanda Kessel (Madison, Wis.) extended the lead on a five minutes later with a 5-on-3 power play marker. Maddie Rooney (Andover, Minn.) recorded a 26-save shutout in the Team USA net.

TONIGHT’S MATCHUP

Tonight's matchup is the third in the U.S. between the two teams on the My Why Tour, presented by Toyota. Team Canada won the first two games in the U.S., including a 3-1 victory on Oct. 22 in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and a 3-2 triumph on Oct. 25 in Hartford, Connecticut.

ON THE SERIES

Through the first four games, Team USA is outshooting Canada, 93-85, and has scored four of its eight goals on the power play.

MAKING THE TEAM

The U.S. Olympic Women's Ice Hockey team is set to be announced on Jan. 1 at the NHL Winter Classic in Minneapolis. The final 23-player roster will be revealed during the second intermission.
