BEIJING, China – The U.S. Olympic Men’s Ice Hockey Team will face Slovakia today in the quarterfinals of the 2022 Olympic Winter Games, with the opening faceoff set for 12:10 p.m. (11:10 p.m. ET on Feb. 15) at National Indoor Stadium.

The game can be seen on USA Network. All games of the Olympic hockey tournament are available live on Peacock (premium tier) or NBCOlympics.com (with cable authentication) and through the NBC Sports app (with cable authentication).

Team USA entered the playoff round as the top seed after being the only squad in the 12-team Olympic tournament to win all three of its preliminary round-games in regulation.

“We accomplished all we could have to this point and that’s great,” said David Quinn, head coach of the 2022 U.S. Olympic Men’s Ice Hockey Team, “but that’s not what our ultimate goal was coming here and we’ve got an important challenge ahead today on our journey.”

The U.S. has played in eight previous quarterfinal games and has gone 4-4. Four years ago in South Korea, the U.S. lost a heartbreaker in the quarterfinals in a shootout to the Czech Republic.

Team USA has received solid goaltending in the tournament between Drew Commesso (2-1-0, 1.00, .964) and Strauss Mann (1-0-0, 2.00, .946). The U.S. has surrendered just four goals through three games and has averaged five goals a game itself.

With a victory, Team USA would advance to the Olympic semifinals on Friday (Feb. 18) against the lowest remaining seed after the quarterfinal round.
