COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Hockey announced the roster for the U.S. Under-18 Women’s National Team which will compete in the 2023 International Ice Hockey Federation U18 Women’s World Championship, Jan. 8-15, 2023, in Östersund, Sweden.

Katie Lachapelle (Lewiston, Maine), head women’s ice hockey coach at Holy Cross, returns as head coach of Team USA after serving as head coach of the 2022 U.S. Under-18 Women’s National Team.
“We’re excited about our team and look forward to the opportunity to bring home a gold medal,” said Lachapelle. “We’re fortunate to have an ever-expanding talent pool, and this collection of players represents all the hard work that so many have put forth.”
The 2023 team features seven returners from the 2022 squad that took home silver at last year’s world championship, including Annelies Bergmann (Detroit, Mich.), Cassie Hall (South Lyon, Mich.), Molly Jordan (Berlin, Conn.), Ava Lindsay (Minnetonka, Minn.), Finley McCarthy (Whitefish, Mont.), Maggie Scannell (Wynantskill, N.Y.) and Josie St. Martin (Stillwater, Minn.).
The roster includes nine players from Minnesota, two from California, Massachusetts, Michigan, and New York, one from Connecticut, Florida, Missouri, Montana, Pennsylvania, and Vermont and is comprised of 13 forwards, seven defenders and three goaltenders.

Joining Lachapelle behind the bench are assistant coaches Liz Keady Norton and Lindsay Berman, as well as goaltending coach Sanya Sandahl. Other staff include general manager Kristen Wright; scout Katelyn Parker; hockey operations manager Jess Scott; video coach Amanda Long; team physician Dr. Danielle De Fritas; athletic trainer Annika Ferber; equipment manager Kaitlyn Scales; nutritionist Emily Palmerton; strength and conditioning coach Bill DeLongis; communications manager Melissa Katz and digital content coordinator Brianna Rhone.
