GAMEDAY: USA Takes on Canada in Third Game of the 2022 Para Hockey Cup

U.S. defeated Italy 9-2 on Monday and will look to stay undefeated in the tournament

BRIDGEWATER, Nova Scotia – The U.S. National Sled Hockey Team will play Canada here today in its final preliminary-round game at the 2022 Para Hockey Cup. Opening faceoff is set for 6:00 p.m. ET and a live stream of the game can be found here prior to puck drop.

On Monday (Nov. 28), the U.S. defeated Italy 9-2 to advance to 2-0-0-0 (W-OTW-OTL-L) in preliminary round play. Brody Roybal (Northlake, Ill.) was named Team USA’s Player of the Game. Declan Farmer (Tampa, Fla.) recorded four points (two goals, two assists), while Roybal and Jack Wallace (Franklin Lakes, N.J.) added three points apiece.

The U.S. is looking to capture its seventh consecutive Para Hockey Cup title, and ninth PHC championship overall.

Team USA is 10-3-1-9 (W-OTW-OTL-L) all-time against Canada in the Para Hockey Cup. The most recent PHC matchup between these two teams was the 2019 championship game, where the U.S. posted a 2-1 victory to capture its sixth-straight title. Farmer was named U.S. Player of the Game in the victory, marking ten consecutive wins for the U.S. over Canada in the Para Hockey Cup., dating back to the 2016 championship game.
