U.S. Women’s National Team Roster Named For Final Rivalry Series Games

23-Player Group Includes 14 Olympians, Five U.S. Women's National Team Newcomers

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Hockey announced today the 23 players who have been selected to the U.S. Women’s National Team that will face Canada in the final two games of the 2022-23 Rivalry Series, set for Feb. 20 in Trois Trois-Rivières, Que., and Feb. 22 in Laval, Que. Both games will be televised live on NHL Network.

The roster features 14 players with Olympic experience, including Hannah Brandt (Vadnais Heights, Minn.), Alex Carpenter (North Reading, Mass.), Jincy Dunne (O’Fallon, Mo.), Kali Flanagan (Hudson, N.H.), Savannah Harmon (Downers Grove, Ill.), Nicole Hensley (Lakewood, Colo.), Megan Keller (Farmington Hills, Mich.), Amanda Kessel (Madison, Wis.), Hilary Knight (Sun Valley, Idaho), Kelly Pannek (Plymouth, Minn.), Abby Roque (Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.), Hayley Scamurra (Getzville, N.Y.), Maddie Rooney (Andover, Minn.) and Lee Stecklein (Roseville, Minn.). 

Women’s World Championship medalists Aerin Frankel (Chappaqua, N.Y.) and Sydney Brodt (North Oaks, Minn.) will also be part of the U.S. roster, along with Clair DeGeorge (Anchorage, Alaska) and Becca Gilmore (Wayland, Mass.), both who skated in the November Rivalry Series games as well. 

Five players will be making their U.S. Women’s National Team debut, including Emily Brown (Blaine, Minn.), Skylar Fontaine (East Greenwich, R.I.), Liz Schepers (Mound, Minn.), Tatum Skaggs (Oconomowoc, Wis.), and Natalie Snodgrass (Eagan, Minn.).

NOTES: Kendall Coyne Schofield (Palos Heights, Ill.) is injured and will not participate… John Wroblewski (Neenah, Wis.) is the head coach of the 2022-23 U.S. Women’s National Team with assistant coaches Josh Sciba (Westland, Mich.) and Shari Dickerman (Richmond, Minn.), along with goaltending coach Alli Altmann (Eagan, Minn.). Quinnipiac women’s hockey assistant coach Brent Hill (Hamden, Conn.) will join the Team USA as an assistant coach for the final two games of the 2022-23 Rivalry Series.
