2023 U.S. National Sled Hockey Team Roster and Staff Named

17 players to compete at World Para Ice Hockey Championship

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Hockey announced today the 17 players that will represent the U.S. at the 2023 World Para Ice Hockey Championship in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, May 28-June 4, 2023. 

The roster features 11 players who won gold at the 2021 World Para Ice Hockey Championship in Ostrava, Czechia, including Travis Dodson (Deming, N.M.), Chris Douglas (Saint Cloud, Fla.), David Eustace (Stoneham, Mass.), Declan Farmer (Tampa, Fla.), Noah Grove (Frederick, Md.), Jen Lee (San Francisco, Calif.), Kevin McKee (Davenport, Iowa), Josh Misiewicz (La Grange, Ill.), captain Josh Pauls (Green Brook, N.J.), Brody Roybal (Northlake, Ill.) and Jack Wallace (Franklin Lakes, N.J). 

Brett Bolton (Rockledge, Fla.), Malik Jones (Aurora, Colo.), Griffin LaMarre (Haverhill, Mass.), Ben Musselman (Amelia, Ohio), and Evan Nichols (Haymarket, Va.) will be competing at the World Para Ice Hockey Championship for the first time in their careers. 

Brandon Adam (Silverthorne, Colo.) will make his U.S. National Sled Hockey Team debut in Moose Jaw. The forward has been a member of the U.S. Men’s Development Sled Hockey Teamsince 2022. 

“We are looking forward to the opportunity to defend our title in Moose Jaw,” said Dan Brennan (Colorado Springs, Colo.), general manager of the U.S. National Sled Hockey Team. “The players have been working very hard and are certainly up for the task.”

“We are excited to get to Moose Jaw to compete against the teams from the rest of the world,” said David Hoff (Bottineau, N.D.), head coach of the U.S. National Sled Hockey Team. “The last time we saw several of these teams, they were playing very well, so it should be an exciting tournament.”

U.S. National Sled Hockey Team Staff Announced

USA Hockey announced the full staff for the 2023 U.S. National Sled Hockey Team, including Brennan, who will be managing the team for his ninth World Para Ice Hockey Championship. 

Hoff will be returning for his third World Para Ice Hockey Championship as head coach of the U.S. National Sled Hockey Team after guiding the U.S. to gold medals in 2019 and 2021. He isjoined by assistant coach Corey Gorder (Bottineau, N.D.) , who will also be coaching in his third World Para Ice Hockey Championship after joining the U.S. staff prior to the 2018-19 season. 

In addition, the staff includes team physician Mike Uihlein (Grafton, Wis.), athletic trainer Mike Cortese (Boynton Beach, Fla.), equipment manager Jake Visser (Grand Rapids, Mich.), communications coordinator Seamus Kelley (Norwood, Mass.), and digital content coordinator Brianna Rhone (Oklahoma City, Okla.).
