2023 USA Hockey-BioSteel Player Development Camps Underway

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The 2023 USA Hockey-BioSteel Player Development Camps for boys and girls ages 15 to 17 are underway in both Amherst, N.Y., and Oxford, Ohio. Camps will focus on player development and serve as evaluation camps for various international teams.

Every game from the 2023 USA Hockey-BioSteel Player Development Camps will be live streamed on USAHockeyTV.com. A schedule for each camp, along with rosters, stats, and results, is available here.

BioSteel Girls Under-18 Select (2006-2008) July 16-22 Miami University, Oxford, Ohio

Kicking off 2023 camps, the USA Hockey-BioSteel Boys 17 National Festival will be held June 22-28 in Amherst, N.Y. New for this year, the camp has shifted to district-specific teams as opposed to teams being comprised of players from different regions of the country. The 12 teams represent the best players born in 2006 from each USA Hockey district in the country. 

Players from the USA Hockey-BioSteel Boys 17 Festival will be evaluated and chosen to attend the Hlinka Gretzky Cup Camp, which will take place July 20-24, 2023, at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Michigan. Those chosen from the Hlinka Camp will play for the U.S. Under-18 Select Team in the Hlinka Gretzky Cup.

USA Hockey-BioSteel Girls 16/17 Player Development Camp will take place June 24-30, featuring players from 2006 and 2007 birth years. This camp will be used to determine which players will advance in the remaining available spots for the BioSteel-USA Hockey Girls U18 Select Camp. New for 2023, all girls camps will be hosted by Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

The USA Hockey-BioSteel Boys 16 Player Development Camp is being held July 7-13, in Amherst, N.Y, featuring players born in 2007.  The camp, in part, will help will be utilized to evaluate and ultimately select players for the U.S. National Under-17 Men’s Select Team that will compete in the 2023 Five Nations Tournament

USA Hockey-BioSteel Girls 15 National Player Development Camp will take place in Oxford, Ohio, July 10-15, and includes players from the 2008 birth year. The Girls 15 Goalie Camp will take place July 7-10. 

The USA Hockey-BioSteel Girls U18 Select Camp will be held in Oxford, Ohio, July 16-22, and will include players from the 2006, 2007, and 2008 birth years. This camp is also an evaluation-based camp to determine which players will advance to USA Hockey’s Women’s National Team Festival, which will take place in Lake Placid, N.Y. in early August.

The USA Hockey-BioSteel Boys 15 National Player Development Camp is taking place July 15-20 in Amherst, N.Y. The Boys 15 Goalie Camp will be held in Amherst, July 12-15. This camp is comprised of players from the 2008 birth year.
