GAME DAY: Team USA Resumes Rivalry Series Against Canada

U.S. to Skate Game Four Saturday at 5 p.m. ET

KITCHENER, Ontario – Game four of the 2023-24 Rivalry Series is set to drop the puck on Saturday (Dec. 16), as the U.S. Women’s National Team faces Canada at Progressive Auto Sales Arena in Sarnia, Ontario. 

Puck drop is set for 5 p.m. ET and can be viewed on NHL Network. 

TODAY'S MATCH UP

Today's game marks the fourth game of the 2023-24 Rivalry Series between the U.S. Women's National Team and Canada. The U.S. currently leads the series 3-0 following its overtime victory in Kitchener on Thursday.

LAST TIME OUT

Hilary Knight ripped a one-timer behind Canada just 28 seconds into overtime to give Team USA a 3-2 victory in game three of the Rivalry Series. After falling behind 1-0 early in the first, Kirsten Simms (Plymouth, Mich.) and Abbey Murphy tallied two goals just seconds apart. Canada knotted the game at 2-2 into the second, before a scoreless third forced overtime. Aerin Frankel made 32 saves in the victory.

ONE WIN AWAY

Team USA has jumped out to a 3-0 series lead in this year's Rivalry Series after taking game one 3-1, game two 5-2, and game three 3-2. It marks the second year in a row that the U.S. has opened a 3-0 series lead after three games.

The U.S. currently holds a four-game win streak against Canada.
