Scannell Named Captain Of U.S. Under-18 Women’s National Team

St. Martin and Fanale named alternate captains

ZUG, Switzerland – Forward Maggie Scannell (Wynantskill, N.Y.) has been named captain of the 2024 U.S. Under-18 Women’s National Team. In addition, forwards Bella Fanale (Webster, N.Y.) and Josie St. Martin (Stillwater, Minn.) will serve as alternate captains. 

All three members of Team USA’s leadership group were part of the bronze medal-winning 2023 U.S. Under-18 Women’s National Team. Both Scannell and St. Martin represented the U.S. at the 2022 tournament as well. 

The 2024 U.S. Under-18 Women’s National Team will play in the 2024 IIHF Under-18 Women’s World Championship Jan. 6-14 in Zug, Switzerland.
