GAME DAY| U.S. National Sled Hockey Team set to Face Off Against Korea

CALGARY, Alberta – The U.S. National Sled Hockey Team is set to play Korea here today at WinSport Arena in its second of three preliminary-round games at the 2024 World Para Ice Hockey Championship

The U.S. enters this contest with an unbeaten 16-0-0-0 (W-OTW-OTL-L) record on the season after beating Slovakia 10-0 yesterday in the opening contest of the 2024 World Para Ice Hockey Championship.

Declan Farmer (Tampa, Fla.) was named U.S. Player of the Game with four goals, and Malik Jones (Aurora, Colo.) collected six assists.

Team USA is 23-0-0-0 (W-OTW-OTL-L) against Korea all-time. The last matchup between these two teams was in the preliminary round of the 2023 World Para Ice Hockey Championship in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, where the U.S. Skated to a 9-0 victory. 

Korea enters this contest with an 0-0-0-1 (W-OTW-OTL-L) record in preliminary-round play after falling 10-0 to China yesterday. 

Farmer currently stands 30 goals this season, tying his own record for most by a U.S. National Sled Team player in a single season, set last year. He also enters this game with 47 points, one point shy of the all-time team record.
