OSTRAVA, Czechia – The U.S. National Sled Hockey Team kicks off its 2024-25 season tonight against host Czechia in the preliminary round of the 2024 IPH Cup at Ostravar Arena. Puck drop is set for 6 p.m. local/12 p.m. ET, and the game will live stream here.
The four-team event also includes Canada and Italy. The teams will each face each other in the preliminary round with the semifinal round set for Oct. 12 and championship and third-place games on Oct. 13. Every game from the tournament will stream live on the Czechia Para Hockey YouTube channel.
Team USA is the back-to-back IPH Cup defending champions, going undefeated at both the 2023 event and inaugural 2022 event for a 10-0-0-0 (W-OTW-OTL-L) record all-time at the tournament.
The U.S. is 14-0-1-0 (W-OTW-OTL-L) all-time against Czechia across all contests. These two teams last met in the semifinals of the 2024 World Para Ice Hockey Championship in Calgary in May. The U.S. prevailed with a 3-1 victory.
