Team USA enters the title game with a 3-1-0-0 (W-OTW-OTL-L) record after beating Italy 6-0 in the semifinals yesterday (Oct. 12). Canada carries a 2-1-1-0 (W-OTW-OTL-L) record into the contest following a 1-0 overtime win over Czechia in the semifinals.
These teams last faced off on Tuesday (Oct. 13) in a preliminary-round contest. A goal 19 seconds into overtime from Jack Wallace (Franklin Lakes, N.J.) lifted the U.S. to a 2-1 victory in the extra period. Goaltender Griffin LaMarre (Haverhill, Mass.) was named U.S. Player of the Game after stopping 12 shots in the win.
