Declan Farmer Tallied a Hat Trick, While Brody Roybal Scored Twice

SAUGUS, Mass. – Declan Farmer (Tampa, Fla.) recorded a hat trick while Brody Roybal (Northlake, Ill.) scored twice to help lift the U.S. National Sled Team to a 6-2 victory over Canada in the second and final game of the 2025 Reeve Hockey Classic at Kasabuski Rink.

With the win, Team USA now holds a 11-1-0-0 (W-OTW-OTL-L) record on the season after going 2-0-0-0 at the Reeve Hockey Classic.

“I thought from the second period on we were really good today,” said David Hoff (Bottineau, N.D.). “We started a little loose, but did a good job tightening things up. Overall, a great week for our team and for sled hockey.”

Canada’s Tyler McGregor opened the scoring, capitalizing on a breakaway chance 6:38 into the contest.

Roybal leveled the score with 2:16 to play in the opening frame with a short-side wrister from the left circle off a feed from Josh Pauls (Green Brook, N.J.). Farmer added an assist on the play.

Adam Dixon regained the lead for Canada with 36 seconds remaining in the first with a shot from the left faceoff dot to give his team a 2-1 advantage heading into intermission.

At the 5:25 mark of the middle stanza, Farmer knotted the game up at 2-2 from just outside the crease when he buried a cross-ice feed from Malik Jones (Aurora, Colo.) on an odd-man rush.

Just over two minutes later, Roybal picked up his second tally of the game with a laser into the top right corner to give the U.S. its first lead of the game. Kevin McKee (Davenport, Iowa) and David Eustace (Stoneham, Mass.) earned helpers on the play.

Josh Misiewicz (La Grange, Ill.) made it a two-goal game with 2:33 to play in the second when he gathered a loose puck in the slot and launched a left-handed shot low past Canadian goaltender Corbin Watson.

Farmer collected his second of the contest in the closing seconds of the period to give the U.S. a 5-2 advantage, weaving past the Canadian defense before shoving the puck under the arm of Watson and across the goal line to extend the lead.

At the 1:22 mark of the third period, Farmer completed a hat trick after finishing a breakaway opportunity. The U.S. held the 6-2 lead for the remainder of the contest to seal the victory.

Jen Lee (San Francisco, Calif.) made six saves, earning the win in goal for the U.S.

NOTES: Team USA outshot Canada 27-6 … The U.S. and Canada each went 0-1 on the power play.
