“That’s about as solid an effort as an effort as we’ve put together in a while,” said David Hoff (Bottineau, N.D.), head coach of the U.S. National Sled Hockey Team. “We were really hard to play against all night.”

Farmer completed his natural hat trick 3:49 into the third period, cruising through the neutral zone past three Canadian defenders before deking goaltender Jean-François Huneault and capitalizing with a right-handed shot.
With 6:51 remaining in the contest, Jack Wallace (Franklin lakes, N.J.) fired one home from the high slot past Huneault before Travis Dodson (Deming, N.M.) collected an empty-net goal in the closing minutes to account for the 5-1 final.
