“We started strong tonight, but then fell flat from there,” said David Hoff (Bottineau, N.D.), head coach of the U.S. National Sled Team. “They capitalized on a couple chances and it got to be a five minute hockey game and we couldn’t equalize.”
After a scoreless first period, Canada took a 1-0 lead 7:43 into the middle frame when Mathieu Lelièvre capitalized from just outside the crease off a feed from Anton Jacobs-Webb.
With 3:36 remaining in the second, Josh Misiewicz (La Grange, Ill.) threaded a pass across the slot to Brody Roybal (Northlake, Ill.), who rifled a shot top corner past Canada goaltender Adam Kingsmill to level the score.
Vincent Boily scored on a breakaway opportunity to regain the lead for Canada at the 2:07 mark of the third.
Despite several high-pressure chances for the U.S., Canada held on to the 2-1 lead for the remainder of the contest to secure the victory.
Jen Lee (San Francisco, Calif.) made eight saves in goal for Team USA.
The U.S. now holds a 13-1-0-1 (W-OTW-OTL-L) record on the season. Team USA will be in action next at the 2025 World Para Ice Hockey Championship, set for May 24-31 at the LECOM Harborcenter in Buffalo, N.Y. More details, including a schedule and ticket information, are available here.

“That was a great, highly competitive game,” said Rose Misiewicz (Duluth, Minn.), head coach of the U.S. Women’s Development Sled Team. “It was fun to see, and the best game we’ve had all week.”
At the 11:51 mark of the opening frame, DiClaudio lifted the puck onto her right stick blade as she wrapped around the Canada net and launched it into the top corner for her second Michigan-style goal of the series to put the U.S. up 1-0.

Just 16 seconds later, DiClaudio added a shorthanded tally for her second of the contest, capitalizing on a breakaway chance to give Team USA a 2-1 lead.
With 2:19 to play in the middle stanza, DiClaudio found Kaden Herchenroether (Allsion Park, Pa.) with a back-door feed on a two-on-one opportunity, and Herchenroether shoved the puck across the goal line to extend the U.S. advantage.
White made it a 3-2 game in the closing seconds of the period, finishing off a rebound chance after U.S. goaltender Hope Bevilhymer (West Jordan, Utah) made a diving breakaway stop.
At the 9:01 mark of the final frame, Herchenroether found Madison Eberhard (Buffalo, N.Y.) in the slot, who batted home a one-timer to add to Team USA’s lead.
