U.S. National Sled Team Set to Open 2025-26 Season at IPH Cup

Team USA will Play Canada in Season opener in Ostrava, Czechia

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.  – The U.S. National Sled Team will open its 2025-26 season on Monday (Oct. 20) against Canada at 3 p.m. local time/9 a.m. ET at Ostravar Arena in Ostrava, Czechia, in preliminary round action at the 2025 IPH Cup.  

Every game from the 2025 IPH Cup will stream live on the Czechia Para Hockey YouTube. The five-team tournament, which runs through Oct. 26, also includes host Czechia, China, and Italy. 

“We’re really excited to get the season started, especially with this being a Paralympic year,” said David Hoff, who is in his seventh season as head coach of the U.S. National Sled Team. “This is a great opportunity for us to evaluate where we are as a team in a very competitive environement.”

Each team will play three preliminary round games, with semifinal contests set for Oct. 25 and the championship and third-place games the following day (Oct. 26).

Since the inaugural tournament in 2022, Team USA has won all three IPH Cup championships to date, posting a 14-1-0-0 (W-OTW-OTL-L) record across three tournaments.
