GAME DAY | U.S. Set to Face Canada in IPH Cup Championship

OSTRAVA, Czechia – The U.S. National Sled Team will take on Canada here today (Oct. 26) in the championship game of the 2025 IPH Cup at Ostravar Arena. Puck drop is set for 6 p.m. local time/1 p.m. ET, and the game will stream live here

Team USA enters this contest with a 3-1-0-0 (W-OTW-OTL-L) record at the tournament through four preliminary-round contests. The U.S. defeated China, 8-2, yesterday (Oct. 25) in its final preliminary-round matchup. Declan Farmer (Tampa, Fla.) tallied seven points (4g, 3a) in the victory, becoming the first player in U.S. National Sled Team history to reach 400 career points. 

Canada carries a 3-0-1-0 (W-OTW-OTL-L) record into the matchup. The U.S. and Canada faced off in the opening game of the tournament on Monday (Oct. 20), and the U.S. skated to a 2-1 overtime victory. 

Team USA and Canada have played 134 contests all-time across all competitions, with the U.S. holding a 61-14-7-50-2 (W-OTW-OTL-L-T) advantage in those matchups.  

The U.S. is 17-2-0-0 (W-OTW-OTL-L) all-time at the IPH Cup, and is seeking a fourth-consecutive championship at the event today, a streak that dates back to the inaugural tournament in 2022.
