NJEC Notebook: Welcome to Lake Placid

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. – Members of Team USA started arriving in Lake Placid this afternoon for the 2013 USA Hockey National Junior Evaluation Camp, which gets underway on Saturday (Aug. 3) at the Olympic Training Center.

The 44 U.S. athletes at the camp will be vying for a spot on the 2014 U.S. National Junior Team that will defend its gold medal this winter at the 2014 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship in Malmo, Sweden.

The camp features U.S. games against Canada, Finland and Sweden and is certain to attract scouts from the National Hockey League and around the world.
