Malmo, Sweden - The U.S. National Junior Team was back on the ice today following it's 5-1 victory over Czech Republic to open the 2014 IIHF World Junior Championship.

Head coach Don Lucia put the team through an hour-long practice that pushed the pace. The players continue to learn each other's tendencies and today's practice was part of that process Lucia said.

"We have two games coming up so we didn't want to have a physical practice and it's a long tournament," he said. "We just wanted to work on some of the concepts we want this team to play with."

To help his team work on puck possession, Lucia put players through a cross-ice drill at the end of practice. The high tempo drill ended with the losing half of the ice doing a fun-based consequence of pushing the puck to the blue line with their chins.

Team USA took the team photo today as well. Forward Hudson Fasching shared his thoughts on the ever-important hair styling as well as his pick for best hair on the team.

Ellen DeLuca took several group shots of players and coaches. Check out the gallery below and come back soon for the official team photo.
