National Junior Evaluation Camp: Day 2

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. — Competition begins tonight at the 2014 U.S. National Junior Evaluation Camp with an intrasquad scrimmage between USA Blue and USA White. The game will consist of two 25-minute halves, and be streamed live at usahockey.fasthockey.com.

Below are the projected lines for tonight’s match up:

Tonight’s game is the first chance for 2015 U.S. National Junior Team Head Coach Mark Osiecki and his staff to assess players during competition. Beginning at yesterday’s meeting, Osiecki has stressed the importance of playing with speed and creativity the first few days of camp. Additionally, maintaining discipline with respect to limiting penalties is an important part of the evaluation process.

International competition will begin tomorrow (Sunday, Aug. 2) when USA White takes on Sweden at 1 p.m., and then USA Blue plays Finland at 4 p.m.
