Lake Placid, N.Y. — The 2015 USA Hockey National Junior Evaluation Camp is now underway at the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, New York.
The 39 players and staff members arrived throughout the day. In the evening, they attended a meeting where staff members, including Jim Johannson, general manager of the 2015 U.S. National Junior Team, and head coach, Ron Wilson, discussed camp expectations.
The USA Hockey National Junior Evaluation Camp is part of the process in selecting the 2016 U.S. National Junior Team that will compete at the 2016 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship from Dec. 26, 2015-Jan. 5, 2016 in Helsinki, Finland.
Camp competition begins at 5 p.m. ET tomorrow (Sat., Aug. 1) with a practice game between the two U.S. teams, USA White and USA Blue. International play opens at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday (Aug. 2) when USA White faces off against Finland.
