NHL Network to Air U.S. Games at 2016 IIHF Women's World Championship

Tournament Takes Place March 28 to April 4 in Kamloops, British Columbia

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Hockey announced today that NHL Network will carry all U.S. games at the 2016 International Ice Hockey Federation Women's World Championship that begins March 28 in Kamloops, British Columbia.

"We're extremely pleased to have the support of NHL Network in providing great visibility for our women's national team," said Dave Ogrean, executive director of USA Hockey. "We've done extremely well in the world championship and fans will enjoy the opportunity to watch the best women's players in the world."

The tournament, which runs through April 4, features eight nations. Team USA, which has earned gold in five of the last six world championships (2008, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015), opens play against rival Canada on March 28 live on NHL Network at 10:30 p.m. ET at the Sandman Centre.
