USA vs. FINLAND: In the Four Nations Cup, Team USA has a 21-0-0-1-1 record (W-OTW-OTL-L-T) overall. The U.S. has out-scored Finland, 42-4, in the last six matches in Four Nations Cup play, including a pair of shutouts over the last two years.
GETTING OFFENSIVE: Twelve different players tallied points as the U.S. Women’s National Team topped Sweden, 6-0, in the opening game of the 2016 Four Nations Cup. Hannah Brandt led Team USA with two goals, while Haley Skarupa dished out three assists. Hilary Knight and Monique Lamoureux-Morando also had multiple-point games, notching one goal and one assist each.
A GAMER: In her first international event since 2015, Hannah Brandt notched a pair of goals on Tuesday against Sweden and was named the U.S. Player of the Game.
BETWEEN THE PIPES: Alex Rigsby continued with the strong play she displayed at the International Ice Hockey Federation World Championship, this time blanking Sweden on Tuesday to earn the shutout.
