The U.S. Women's National Under-18 Team opened the International Ice Hockey Federation Under-18 Women's World Championship with a pair of wins in Zlin, Czech Republic. Prior to the tournament, the team took part in a pre-camp in Newark, New Jersey before heading to the Czech Republic on January 3.
