The NWHL returned to action this past weekend but it was just a little over a week ago that the NWHL All-Star Weekend festivities took place in Pittsburgh at the UPMC Mario Lemieux Sports Complex. Team USA was well represented in the All-Star Game with Kacey Bellamy, Megan Bozek, Shiann Darkangelo, Brianna Decker, Meghan Duggan, Alex Carpenter, Zoe Hickel, Amanda Kessel, Hilary Knight, Gigi Marvin, Amanda Pelkey, Emily Pfalzer, Haley Skarupa, Kelli Stack and Dana Trivigno representing their NWHL teams. Kessel, serving as captain for one of two All-Star squads, had two goals in the game and was named MVP.
These 15 players are some of the 23 postgraduates who will attend a training camp for the U.S. Women’s National Team beginning February 26 at the New England Sports Village in Attleboro, Massachusetts. A complete roster (15 forwards, five defensemen, and three goaltenders) and schedule are available here.
