The 2017-18 U.S. Women’s National Team opens The Time is Now Tour, presented by Toyota, tonight (Oct. 25) at 7:30 p.m. ET in Boston, Mass., at Boston University’s Agganis Arena. Tonight’s game marks the first on The Time is Now Tour, but Team USA's second exhibition of the season against Canada, having defeated their opponent 5-2 last Sunday (Oct. 22).

GAME DAY: Tonight marks the second of at least seven meetings between the U.S. and Canada leading up to the 2018 Olympic Winter Games, and is the first game of The Time is Now Tour, presented by Toyota. LOOKING BACK: The U.S. enters today’s game 1-0 on the season after earning a victory on Sunday (Oct. 22), when Team USA topped Canada, 5-2, in Quebec City, Quebec. Eight different U.S. players registered points in the opening game, highlighted by Brianna Decker’s two-goal performance.
BACK IN BEANTOWN: The current U.S. roster includes four players who have played at Boston College, including Alex Carpenter, Kali Flanagan, Megan Keller and Emily Pfalzer. Kendall Coyne played four seasons at Northeastern University, also located in Boston.
BOSTON PRIDE: Kacey Bellamy, Carpenter, Brianna Decker, Meghan Duggan, Hilary Knight, Gigi Marvin, and Amanda Pelkey have all skated as members of the National Women’s Hockey League’s Boston Pride.
NEW ENGLAND ROOTS: Five players on the current U.S. roster have hometowns in the New England region, including Bellamy (Westfield, Mass.), Carpenter (North Reading, Mass.), Duggan (Danvers, Mass.), Flanagan (Burlington, Mass.) and Pelkey (Montpelier, Vt.)
