THINGS WORTH MENTIONING
Brody Roybal (3-1) and Declan Farmer (1-3) each enter today's game with a team-best four points ... With 35 points (19-16) in 13 games this season, Brody Roybal has tied Declan Farmer for the most points in a single U.S. season, when Farmer went 20-15--35 a year ago in the 2016-17 season ... Noah Grove, Luke McDermott and Jack Wallace each scored in their Paralympic debuts yesterday while Ralph DeQuebec registered two assists in his Paralympic debut ... The 17-player roster was unveiled on Jan. 1, 2018 at the 2018 NHL Winter Classic ... Team USA claimed two international titles this season, including the 2017 World Sled Hockey Challenge in Charlottetown, P.E.I. last December and the 2018 Turin Para Ice Hockey International Tournament in January
... Since 2011, the U.S. has reached 11 straight title games in major international events, winning eight tournaments.

THE SERIES VS. CZECH REPUBLIC
Between Paralympic and World Championship play, this is just the fourth-ever meeting between the two teams and the first time the two teams are facing off since 2012, when the United States fell to the Czechs, 2-1, in overtime. All-time, in three meetings in both the Paralympic and World Championship play, the U.S. is 2-1 and has outscored the Czechs by a 7-2 margin.

GROUP B UPDATE
Entering day three of Paralympic play, the United States sits in second place of Group B. With a game in hand, Korea sits first having won its both games, one in regulation and one in overtime, for five points. Among the four teams, the U.S. has a group-best goal differential of 10 without having allowed a goal.

IN GOAL TODAY
Steve Cash (Overland, Mo.) is the likely starter for Team USA today. A three-time Paralympian (2006, 2010, 2014) and member of the U.S. National Sled Hockey Team since 2006, Cash has backstopped the United States to two Paralympic gold medals (2010, 2014), three world championship titles (2009, 2012, 2015) and six World Sled Hockey Challenge titles (2009, 2012, 2015, 2016 - Jan., 2016 - Dec., 2017) along with one Paralympic bronze medal (2006), two world championship silver medals (2013, 2017) and one world championship bronze medal (2008). In eight games this season, Cash has posted a 7-1 (W-L) record that includes a 0.71 goals-against-average, .935 save percentage and three shutouts.
