The 41st annual USA Hockey National Player Development Camps begin Saturday with the Girls Under-18 Select Camp in Biddeford, Maine.

Subsequent camps include the Boys Select 17 Camp in Amherst, New York (June 26-July 2); the Boys Select 16 Camp in Amherst (July 7-13); the Girls 15 Camp in St. Cloud, Minnesota, from July 7-11; the Sled Camp in Amherst (July 8-13); the Boys Select 15 Camp in Amherst (July 15-20); and the Girls 16/17 Camp in St. Cloud (July 14-20). In all, nearly 1,100 of the United States’ best 15-, 16-, and 17-year-old boys and girls will participate at the camps, joining a list of alumni that includes 2018 USA Hockey Bob Johnson Award recipients Patrick Kane, Jocelyne Lamoureux-Davidson and Declan Farmer, not to mention other notable players like Hilary Knight, Blake Wheeler, Gigi Marvin, Phil Kessel, Brody Roybal, Angela Ruggiero and Auston Matthews.

Players are selected to participate as a result of their performance in a series of tryouts conducted at USA Hockey’s district and affiliate levels nationwide. USA Hockey’s National Player Development Camps consist of age-appropriate practices, games and off-ice training all geared toward strengthening young American hockey players.

“Our player development camps provide athletes from across the country with an opportunity to experience outstanding coaching and guidance, both on and off the ice,” said Kevin McLaughlin, USA Hockey senior director of hockey development. “It's always an exciting time working with these young players and also introducing them to the U.S. National Team structure and expectations.”
