Skaters have full practice day at 2018 Girls 15 Player Development Camp

Games set to resume on Tuesday

USA Hockey's 2018 Girls 15 Player Development Camp continued on Monday with a practice day. Skaters from all of the camp's 12 teams representing 12 of USA Hockey’s geographical districts will resume games at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 10. Fans can watch the games live on the HockeyTV live stream here.

GOLD STANDARD: The Gold Team at camp this week is coached by John Harrington, a member of the 1980 U.S. Olympic Men's Team that captured a gold medal in Lake Placid. He currently serves as the head coach of the Minnesota State University women’s hockey team.

FAMILY TIES:  Darci Matson (Wasilla, AK) of Team Royal Blue comes from a family full of hockey players. The ninth child in a family of 11, she plays the hockey along with five of her sisters and two of her brothers. Tristana Tatur (Maple Grove, Minn.) of Team Purple also comes from an athletic family. Her older brother Trent plays college football for the University of Minnesota Duluth. Tristana also enjoys fishing in her spare time and has competed at multiple walleye fishing tournaments. 

EXTRACURRICULARS: Goaltender Katherine Moffat (Crestwood, MO), who made 11 shots on 11 saves for Team Maroon during Sunday's game, marched in the 2018 Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California and can play piano, saxophone and clarinet. Team Orange's Brianna Walkom (Moon Township, Penn.) attends the NHL All-Star Game every year. Emily Cronkhite (Eagan, Minn.) of Team Teal competed in three state tournaments during her freshman year of high school. She took first place in soccer and ultimate frisbee, while placing third in hockey. Both her father and grandfather played college hockey for the University of Minnesota Duluth. Cronkhite's Team Teal teammate Elizabeth Goodrich (North Waterboro, ME) recently served as Vice President of her high school class.
