Games continue at 2018 Girls 15 Player Development Camp

Team Light Blue and Team White remain undefeated

Day four of the USA Hockey Girls 15 Player Development Camp featured a full slate of games at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center. Team White, led by two goals and one assist from Madison Gagliano (Elgin, Ill.), remained unbeaten with a 4-1 victory over Team Green. Team Light Blue also continued its undefeated camp, taking down Team Purple 3-2. Mallory Mauracher (Dublin, Ohio) scored the game-winning goal for Team Light Blue.

Team Gray defeated Team Orange 4-2 in the first game of the day. Team Gray's Chloe Harbaugh (Sioux Falls, S.D.) and Claire Sammons (Wheaton, Ill.) each recorded a goal and an assist in the victory.

STAT STORY: Team Gold's Gretchen Branton (Corcoran, Minn.), who started playing hockey at age four and has been involved with her local association for 11 years, is the camp’s leading scorer after two games with three goals and five points.  She had two goals in Team Gold’s 5-2 win over Team Royal on Tuesday.

HELPING HAND:  Team Light Blue’s Hannah Partigianoni (Cortland, N.Y.) is the camp’s assist leader after the second day of play with four helpers. Of note, Partigianoni has a full athletic resume that includes hockey, lacrosse, soccer, softball, volleyball, golf and bowling.

WORKING OVERTIME: Team Teal's Kendall Butze (Shaker Heights, Ohio) was the OT hero on Tuesday when she scored the game-winning goal at 4:04 of overtime in the 3-2 victory over Team Maroon.

EXTRACURRICULARS:  Team Light Blue’s Carly Sanzo (Rocky Hill, Conn.) is a Taekwondo black belt… Team Black’s Elizabeth Shannon (Andover, Mass.) has already visited 13 countries during her life, while Team Gray's Ava Gosnell (Breckenridge, Colo.) has been to 19 countries… Hannah Rodgers (Apex, N.C.) captured the North Carolina water ski championship as a nine year old.  She collected an assist for Team Red on Tuesday… Team Gray’s Gabriella Crawford (Bedford Corners, N.Y.) plays the piano, guitar and violin.  A musical talent, Crawford also sings and acts in her school’s musicals.

The camp will conclude on Wednesday, July 11 with a series of mini-game tournaments in the three team pools (National, American and Liberty).  Play gets underway with the National pool teams at 8:00 a.m. followed by the American pool teams at 9:10 a.m. and the Liberty pool teams at 10:20 a.m.
