Coyne Schofield was added into the field for the Fastest Skater contest after it was announced that the Colorado Avalanche's Nathan MacKinnon would not participate. The Avalanche posed the question to Coyne Schofield on Twitter this afternoon, to which she responded that she would be happy to participate.

Coyne Schofield's time of 14.346 seconds landed her a seventh-place finish in the competition. 

Coyne Schofield competed against Cam Atkinson of the Columbus Blue Jackets. Mathew Barzal of the New York Islanders, Jack Eichel of the Buffalo Sabres. Miro Heiskanen of the Dallas Stars, Clayton Keller of the Arizona Coyotes, Connor McDavid of the Edmonton Oilers and Elias Pettersson of the Vancouver Canucks. 

In addition, Brianna Decker (Dousman, Wis.) is also serving as a special guest during the NHL All-Star Skills competition to demonstrate the NHL Premier Passer contest, while goaltender Alex Rigsby (Delafield, Wis.) was on hand earlier in the day in support of the EVERFI Future Goals program.

NOTES: The U.S. Women's National Team joined the NHL All-Star Weekend festivities during last year's event in Tampa, where 2018 U.S. Olympians Meghan Duggan (Danvers, Mass.), Hilary Knight (Sun Valley, Idaho) and Amanda Kessel (Madison, Wis.) served as special guests during the NHL All-Star Skills Competition, and members of the team interacted with fans, participated in event activities and made appearances on set with NHL Network and NBC... The U.S. Women's National Team will hit the ice again this February during a three-game series with Canada, the 2019 Rivalry Series, highlighted by a game Feb. 17 at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.
