The U.S. National Junior Team won five games to earn fifth place at the 2001 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship in Moscow and Podolsk, Russia.
Team USA, captained by Connor Dunlop, had three players finish in the top 10 in tournament scoring. Jon DiSalvatore (6-3) and Andy Hilbert (4-5) shared the team lead in points with nine while Jeff Taffe ranked second with eight points (6-2).
