Derek Settlemyre - Equipment Manager

Bio

Derek Settlemyre, who has completed 17 seasons working in the National Hockey League, including the last six as head equipment manager for the Philadelphia Flyers, will serve as an equipment manager for Team USA at the 2016 World Cup of Hockey.

Settlemyre most recently served Team USA as an equipment manager at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver. He also served in the same capacity at the 2007 International Ice Hockey Federation Men’s World Championship in Moscow, Russia, and the 2006 IIHF Men’s World Championship in Riga, Latvia.

He was promoted to his current position with the Flyers after working 10 seasons as head equipment manager for the Philadelphia Phantoms. Before joining the Phantoms in 1996, Settlemyre was an assistant equipment manager for the Flyers for two seasons and an additional year in the same role with the Florida Panthers.

Settlemyre graduated from Coker College in 1993 and currently resides in Pine Hill, N.J. with his daughters, Peyton and Bryce.
