Chelyabinsk & Magnitogorsk, Russia | April 19-29

The U.S. Under-18 Men's National Team claimed a silver medal at the 2018 International Ice Hockey Federation Under-18 Men's World Championship in Chelyabinsk & Magnitogorsk, Russia.

Team USA completed the preliminary round 2-0-0-2 (W-OTW-OTL-L) before defeating host Russia, 5-1, in the quarterfinal round. In the semifinals, the U.S. topped the Czech Republic, 4-1, to advance to the gold medal game, where it fell to Finland, 3-2. 

Forward Jack Hughes earned the Directorate Award as the tournament's top forward. Hughes was also named to the Media All-Star Team and tournament MVP after leading the tournament in scoring with 12 points (5-7-12). Forward Oliver Wahlstrom and defenseman Cam York were also named to the Media All-Star Team.
