Chris Mizer - Athletic Trainer

Chris Mizer is serving as an athletic trainer for the U.S. Olympic Men’s Ice Hockey Team for the first time.

Mizer was previously the head athletic trainer at the 2016 Youth Olympic Games, where Team USA captured the gold medal. He also had similar roles at the 2003 Ice Hockey World Championship, 2004 World Cup of Hockey, and Collegiate All American team tours for USA Rugby from 2010-2014.

Mizer worked as head athletic trainer for the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks AHL team for the 1998-99 season, before he moved on to be the head athletic trainer for the Columbus Blue Jackets for eight seasons (2000-08). Mizer currently is an associate director of sports medicine and ambulatory rehabilitation at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, and has served in that role since 2009.
