The U.S. has medaled in every International Ice Hockey Federation Under-18 Women's World Championship competed, playing in the gold medal game in 15 of the previous 16 championships. Team USA has captured the event's top prize now a total of nine times (2008, 2009, 2011, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020, 2024) and through the 2024 championship sits at 65-6-4-6 (W-OTW-OTL-L) in 81 career games.

Team USA most recently won the gold medal at the 2024 IIHF Under-18 Women's World Championship, defeating Czechia 5-1.
