The U.S. Women's National Under-18 Team stormed through the preliminary round, shutting out all three opponents—Russia, Czech Republic and Sweden—and outscoring them 25-0. The United States and Czech Republic met again in the semifinal where the U.S. topped the Czechs 10-0. In the gold-medal game, the U.S. fell to Canada, 2-1, claiming silver and finishing the tournament 4-0-1-0 (W-OTW-OTL-L).
