Stan Wong is serving as an athletic trainer for the U.S. National Junior Team for the 17th consecutive year. Wong, along with the late Jim Johannson, is the most decorated U.S. staff member at the International Ice Hockey World Junior Championship level, having helped the U.S. win four gold medals (2004, 2010, 2013, 2017) and three World Junior Championship bronze medals (2007, 2011, 2016).

A longtime athletic trainer with USA Hockey, Wong has served as an athletic trainer for the last four U.S. Olympic Men’s Ice Hockey Teams (2006, 2010, 2014, 2018); 12 U.S. Men’s National Teams (2006-18); 10 Deutschland Cup squads (2002-05, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017) and was also the trainer for Team USA at the 2012 Youth Olympic Winter Games.

In addition to his seven medals with the U.S. National Junior Team, Wong has played a role in helping Team USA win an Olympic silver medal (2010) and three Men’s World Championship bronze medals (2013, 2015, 2018).

Previously, Wong worked as the head athletic trainer for both the Florida Panthers (1999-2002) and Washington Capitals (1986-99) of the NHL. During his time in the NHL, Wong was named an athletic trainer for both the 1991 and 1999 NHL All-Star Games.

In addition to a Stanley Cup Final appearance with Washington during the 1997-98 season, Wong also served as an athletic trainer for the United States Football League’s Boston Breakers (1983-85) as well as with the Philadelphia Eagles at Super Bowl XV.

Wong, who was inducted into the PHATS/PHEM Hall of Fame in 2015, resides in Boca Raton, Florida.
