Jake Visser is serving as an equipment manager for the U.S. National Junior Team for the second time. Previously, he fulfilled the same role for the 2015 U.S. National Junior Team that finished in fifth place.

Visser, who is in his ninth season as an assistant equipment manager with USA Hockey's National Team Development Program in Plymouth, Mich., has also represented the United States in four International Ice Hockey Federation Under-18 Men's World Championships, helping the United States earn three gold medals (2011, 2015, 2017) and one silver medal (2013). In addition to his IIHF experience, Visser's served as equipment manager for two U.S. Under-17 Select Teams (2011, 2013) and a pair of U.S Under-18 Select Teams (2016-17).

The 2018-19 season will see Visser leading equipment manager duties for the U.S. National Under-18 Team that will compete in the United States Hockey League as well as against NCAA Division I and III opponents and in international tournaments. In international play with the NTDP, Visser has been a part of U.S. teams to capture the 2014 World Under-17 Challenge, Four Nations Tournament (2011) and 2012 Vlad Dzurilla Under-18 Tournament.

Prior to his time with the NTDP, Visser worked as the assistant equipment manager for the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League for three years (2007-10). During that span, Visser also assisted at the NHL's Detroit Red Wings training camp in Traverse City, Mich.

Visser graduated from Grand Rapids Community College in 2008 with an associate's degree in art. He currently resides in Ann Arbor, Mich., with his wife, Tracey, and daughter, Eliza.
