2026 Milan-Cortina Olympic Winter Games

The 2026 Olympic Winter Games will take place Feb. 6-22, 2026, in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy. The women’s ice hockey tournament will be staged in Milan, however, the competition dates and schedule are yet to be finalized.

Team USA is coming off a silver medal finish at the 2022 Olympic Winter Games in Beijing, China. The U.S. finished the preliminary round with wins in three of its four games. In the playoff round, Team USA earned a 4-1 win over Czechia in the quarterfinals and won by an identical 4-1 score over Finland in the semifinals. In the gold-medal game, Canada edge the U.S., 3-2.

The U.S. has medaled in all seven Olympic Winter Games, including gold in the very first competition in 1998. The U.S. also earned gold in 2018, with four silver medals to its credit, including in 2022, 2014, 2010 and 2002. Team USA took home bronze in 2006.
