The 2024 IIHF Under-18 Men's World Championship will be played April 25 – May 5, in Espoo and Vantaa, Finland. The U.S. Under-18 Men's National Team will compete in Group A alongside Finland, Latvia, Norway, and Slovakia. All Group A games will be played at Metro Arena in Espoo, Finland, while Group B will take place at Vantaa Trio Arena in Vantaa, Finland.

In 2023, the U.S. competed in Group B alongside Finland, Latvia, Norway and Switzerland and went 4-0-0-0 (W-OTW-L-OTL) in the preliminary round before defeating Czechia, 4-1, in the quarterfinals and Slovakia, 7-1, in the semifinals. The U.S. battled Sweden in the gold-medal game and came from behind to win 3-2 in overtime.

The U.S. has won gold 11 times at the IIHF Under-18 Men's World Championship and has captured five silver medals and three bronze medals at the competition. The U.S. won its first gold at the event in 2002.
