Para Hockey Cup

About The Para Hockey Cup

Originating in 2007, the Para Hockey Cup is an international sled hockey event that is organized by Hockey Canada. From 2007 until 2017, the event was previously referred to as the World Sled Hockey Challenge.

The United States is the four-time defending champion of the event, earning titles at the 2017 and 2016 (Dec.) events in Charlottetown, P.E.I., the January 2016 competition in Bridgewater, N.S.; and the February 2015 tournament in Leduc, Alta. Team USA, which has claimed a tournament-best six titles in the event, also won the event in December 2012 in Calgary, and November 2009 in Charlottetown, P.E.I.

The U.S. has earned a top-three finish in all 11 editions of the tournament and currently holds a 31-4-1-12 (W-OTW-OTL-L) record in the event all-time.
