LAKE PLACID, N.Y. — The final game of the 2014 U.S. National Junior Evaluation Camp has been delayed until 5:30 p.m. Team USA will face the Czech Republic at the USA Rink in the Olympic Center.

Thus far, Team USA is 2-0 as one squad in international competition. On Wednesday, the U.S. beat Sweden 7-1, and Alex Tuch (Baldwinsville, N.Y./U.S. National Under-18 Team) tallied a hat trick. Thursday, Team USA bested Finland 9-1, including a hat trick from Tyler Motte (St. Clair, Mich./Universiy of Michigan) and Team USA combined for 25 points.

The Czechs arrive to Lake Placid after competing in Canada’s junior evaluation camp earlier this week. They opened camp, losing 5-0 against Russia. In their first meeting with Canada they lost 5-2. However, they finished camp strong with a 5-2 win over Canada last night.

The U.S. beat the Czechs, 5-2, in the gold-medal game at the 2014 IIHF Men's Under-18 World Championship. Team USA and the Czechs also squared off in the 2014 IIHF World Junior Championship where the U.S. won 5-1 in the preliminary round.
