The USA Hockey-BioSteel Boys 17 National Festival took place June 22-28, 2023 at The Northtown Center at Amherst in Amherst, New York. This camp is comprised of male players who are registered USA Hockey players (2022-23) and born in the year 2006. 

The New England District was named Boys 17 National Festival Champions after winning 6-5 in overtime of the championship game against the Pacific District, finishing with an overall record of 5-1-0.

Forward Colin Frank of the Pacific District led all skaters in the Festival with 12 points (3G, 9A), while Kolin Sisson of the New England District tallied a festival-high six goals.

The Boys 17 Festival is a District team-based tournament format, but the priority is still to improve and showcase the players participating. Players will experience a competitive, age-specific environment with on-ice training (drills, small area games, competitions, etc.) and off-ice training (strength & conditioning, team building, mental skills, nutrition, classroom, etc.)

Players from the USA Hockey-BioSteel Boys 17 Festival will be evaluated and chosen to attend the Hlinka Gretzky Cup Camp which will take place July 20-24, 2023 at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Michigan. Those chosen from the Hlinka Camp will play for the 2023 U.S. Under-18 Select Team during international competition, the 2023 Hlinka Gretzky Cup August 1-6, 2023 in Břeclav, Czechia and Trenčín, Slovakia.
