PARADISE, N.L. – The 2019-20 U.S. National Sled Hockey Team will make its season debut at the 2019 Para Hockey Cup next week (Dec. 1-7) in Paradise, Newfoundland at the Paradise Double Ice Complex.

"We're excited to get this competition season going," said David Hoff (Bottineau, N.D.), head coach of the 2019-20 U.S. National Sled Hockey Team. "We have a strong group of players and we're eager to see how they come together in Newfoundland. It's been great getting together as a team for training camps, but it doesn't compare to true game experience so we're really looking forward to this tournament."

The U.S. enters the 2019 Para Hockey Cup, previously referred to as the World Sled Hockey Challenge, as five-time defending champions in the event, having won the 2015, 2016 (Jan.), 2016 (Dec.), 2017 and 2018 events. At the 2018 Para Hockey Cup, Team USA earned its fifth-straight title in the event. In the tournament's 12-year history, the U.S. has claimed a record-setting seven titles.

Last season, Team USA skated to a 10-1-0-1 (W-OTW-OTL-L) overall record that included a perfect performances at the 2018 Para Hockey Cup (5-0-0-0) and the 2019 Para Ice Hockey World Championship (4-1-0-0). The 2019-20 U.S. National Sled Team roster features 15 returnees from the 2018-19 U.S. National Sled Hockey Team and two newcomers.
