GAMEDAY: USA Takes on Italy in Second Game of the 2022 Para Hockey Cup

U.S. looks to remain undefeated after a 10-0 win over Czechia on Sunday

BRIDGEWATER, Nova Scotia – The U.S. National Sled Hockey Team will face off against Italy on Monday morning in 2022 Para Hockey Cup action with its second of three preliminary round games. Opening faceoff is set for 10:30 a.m. ET and a live stream of the game can be found here prior to puck drop.

On Sunday (Nov. 27), the U.S. defeated Czechia 10-0 in the opening game of the tournament. David Eustace (Stoneham, Mass.) was named U.S. Player of the Game, while Declan Farmer (Tampa, Fla.) recorded a hat trick and two assists, and Jen Lee (San Francisco, Calif.) earned a shutout.

The four-team Para Hockey Cup also includes host Canada, which the U.S. will play on Wednesday (Nov. 30), at 6:00 p.m. ET.

The U.S. is looking to capture its seventh consecutive Para Hockey Cup title, and ninth PHC championship overall.

Today's Opponent: Italy

Team USA is 2-0-0-0 (W-OTW-OTL-L) all-time against Italy in the Para Hockey Cup, with both matchups taking place in the 2017 rendition of the event including a 10-0 in the preliminary round meeting, and a 5-1 victory in the semifinals.
