Patrick Brown Added to 2023 U.S. Men’s National Team Roster

Ottawa Senators forward to arrive here tomorrow

TAMPERE, Finland – Forward Patrick Brown (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.), who finished the 2022-23 season with the NHL’s Ottawa Senators, has been added to the roster of the 2023 U.S. Men’s National Team, it was announced today by USA Hockey.

Brown has played parts of eight seasons in the NHL with Ottawa, Philadelphia, Vegas and Carolina and also has a Calder Cup championship to his credit in the AHL with the Charlotte Checkers where he was team captain for three seasons.

The Bloomfield Hills, Mich., native – who played collegiately at Boston College – is making his first appearance in an IIHF world championship at any level.

The U.S. Men’s National Team is currently playing here in the 2023 IIHF Men’s World Championship and has won its opening three games of the tournament, including a 3-2 victory over Germany earlier today. The U.S. will face Austria Wednesday (May 17) at 4:20 p.m. local time/9:20 a.m. ET in its fourth of seven preliminary round contests and the game can be seen live on NHL Network. 

Brown is expected to arrive in Tampere tomorrow.
