GAME DAY | U.S. National Sled Team Taking on Canada in IPH Cup Championship

OSTRAVA, Czechia – The U.S. National Sled Hockey Team will take on Canada here today (Oct. 3) in the IPH Cup championship game, as Team USA looks to capture back-to-back IHP Cup titles after winning last year’s inaugural tournament.

Puck drop is set for 12:00 p.m. ET at Ostravar Arena, and the game will be streamed live here

The U.S. enters the game with an unbeaten 4-0-0-0 (W-OTW-OTL-L) record after beating Czechia 6-1 in the semifinals yesterday.

Canada beat Team IPH in its semifinal-round contest yesterday to move to 2-0-0-2 (W-OTW-OTL-L) heading into the title game.

The U.S. and Canada met in the preliminary round on Tuesday (Oct. 3), with the U.S. skating to a 6-1 victory. Malik Jones (Aurora, Colo.) was named U.S. Player of the Game. In last season’s inaugural IPH Cup championship game, Team USA beat Canada 4-0 to claim the title.

These two teams have played 12 contests all-time across all competitions, with the U.S. holding a record of 43-12-7-48-2 (W-OTW-OTL-L-T).
