Roster and Schedule Announced for Women's Four Nations Cup

USA Hockey announced today the roster and schedule for the U.S. Women's National Team that will compete in the Four Nations Cup, Nov. 4-8, at Interior Savings Centre in Kamloops, British Columbia.

The 23-player roster features 12 members of the silver medal-winning 2014 U.S. Women's Olympic Ice Hockey Team. Those players are Kacey Bellamy (Westfield, Mass.), Megan Bozek (Buffalo Grove, Ill.), Alex Carpenter (North Reading, Mass.), Kendall Coyne (Palos Heights, Ill.), Brianna Decker (Dousman, Wis.), Hilary Knight (Sun Valley, Idaho), Monique Lamoureux (Grand Forks, N.D.), Gigi Marvin (Warroad, Minn.), Brianne McLaughlin-Bittle (Sheffield Village, Ohio), Michelle Picard (Taunton, Mass.), Molly Schaus (Natick, Mass.) and Lee Stecklein (Roseville, Minn.). These players and Annie Pankowski (Laguna Hills, Calif.) competed for the U.S. in the 2013 Four Nations Cup.

The 23 players represent 13 different states. Massachusetts and Minnesota lead the pack with four representatives each, while New York, Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin have two. California, Georgia, Idaho, Maryland, North Dakota, Ohio and Vermont all have one representative.

NOTES: Reagan Carey (Colorado Springs, Colo.), USA Hockey's director of women's hockey, is the general manager of the 2014 U.S. Women's National Team. Ken Klee (Littleton, Colo.) will serve as the head coach of the 2014 U.S. Women's National Team at the Four Nations Cup. He will be assisted by Robb Stauber (Medina, Minn.) and Bob Deraney (Providence, R.I.) ... The Four Nations Cup is an annual tournament that has been held in varying forms since 1996 (previously the Three Nations Cup). The U.S. competes against Canada, Sweden and Finland in this year's tournament. It is the 18th year of the tournament and the United States has competed 17 times, having not participated in 2001. The United States has captured the title five times (1997, 2003, 2008, 2011-12), finished second 11 times and third in the tournament in 2013. The Americans hold an overall record of 38-5-4-22-2 (W-OTW-OTL-L-T) in 70 Three/Four Nations Cup games.
